PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CompanionLink is proud to announce two-way PC sync support for the new BlackBerry® Classic device announced today. Offering a complete synchronization suite for Microsoft® Outlook®, Swiftpage® Act!, and IBM® Notes, CompanionLink’s PC utility will appeal to professionals looking for a simple PC connection similar to what shipped with the original BlackBerry devices. The app suite synchronizes Outlook calendar, contacts, tasks, notes, categories, and journal entries. A critical feature called Personal Data Filtering allows people to prevent their personal contacts from syncing to the BlackBerry. The feature works automatically when private data is assigned to the Personal Category in the Outlook desktop client. CompanionLink prevents this data from mixing with the business data carried on the BlackBerry Classic.
“Many of our customers who were holding on to devices from the past are excited to get the latest CompanionLink upgrade to support their new BlackBerry Classic devices. ”
“CompanionLink has supported BlackBerry since their inception and has built a reputation for developing the most secure and complete third-party Outlook synchronization utility,” says Wayland Bruns, CTO of CompanionLink. “Many of our customers who were holding on to devices from the past are excited to get the latest CompanionLink upgrade to support their new BlackBerry Classic devices. ”
The CompanionLink app sells for $49.95 for a one-time license. A remote configuration service, called RunStart, is also offered for $49. RunStart caters to a business audience that wants a trained professional to set up and optimize the synchronization between BlackBerry and PC.
