Relocating Palm Desktop 6 Data files

  1. Right Click Palm Desktop 6's icon > Select Properties
  2. Select the Compatibility tab
  3. Check "Run this program as an administrator"
  4. Click Apply and close
  5. Locate your database, this is most likely in C:\[your username]\Documents\Palm OS Desktop
  6. Move all the files in Palm OS Desktop to C:\Palm <- create this folder
  7. Open the Start Menu and open Registry Editor (regedit)
  8. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\Core, look for the Path variable and edit it to be the new file location C:\Palm
  9. Restart the Computer
