Synchronizing DejaOffice with the Android applications
DejaOffice stores data in a separate database than the Android contacts and calendar applications that came with the device. You can synchronize DejaOffice with the Android applications (the native contacts and calendar apps) so that you can utilize features like caller ID and voice dialing, along with any other 3rd-party software that works with the native contacts and calendar.
Enable Sync Between DejaOffice and the Android Applications
To turn on the synchronization between DejaOffice and the Android contact or calendar applications:
Sync with Android Contacts
- Open DejaOffice.
- Tap Settings and Tap Sync Settings.
- Tap the Sync with Android Contacts App option to Enable the "Native" Contact Sync.
Sync with Android Calendar
- Open DejaOffice.
- Tap Settings and Tap Sync Settings.
- Tap the Sync with Android Calendar App option to Enable the "Native" Calendar Sync.
- Note: While DejaOffice supports a sync to the Android Calendar App, we do not recommend this as it can slow down the sync.
- Note: The Native Calendar app can have issues supporting larger data sets.
Clear and Reload the Android Contacts and Calendar
If the DejaOffice Contacts and Calendar have the best set of data and you want to Reload this cleanly to the "Native" Android Contacts and Calendar Apps, use these steps:
Reload Android Contacts:
- Open DejaOffice.
- Tap Settings and Tap Sync Settings.
- Under "Sync with Android Contacts App" tap the "Clear and Reload Android Contacts" to reload the Android Contacts.
- Note: The Sync with Android Calendar App option must be enabled to use the above options.
Reload Android Calendar:
- Open DejaOffice.
- Tap Settings and Tap Sync Settings.
- Tap "Clear and Reload Android Calendar" under "Sync with Android Calendar App" to reload the Android Calendar.
- Note: The Sync with Android Calendar App option must be enabled to use the above options.
Selecting an Android Native Account
Contacts and calendar data can be stored under one of many "accounts" in the native Android contacts and calendar apps. The default account is DejaOffice, it is not recommended to change this.
- Open DejaOffice, Tap Settings, and Tap Sync Settings.
- Tap the Contact Account below the Sync with Android Contacts App or Calendar Account Sync with Android Calendar App.
- Note: When uninstalling the DejaOffice app, all contacts and calendar events associated with the DejaOffice native account will be removed from native Android contacts/calendar apps.

- Select the Native Account you want to sync with from the drop-down.
- Repeat these steps for "Sync with Android Calendar app" using the "Calendar Account" option/
- Note: It is not recommended to use any Native Account other than DejaOffice.
