Updates to your Android device's operating system

From time to time, new versions of Android will become available for your device. These updates may affect how the USB connection to the PC works.

Generally Android 2.1 (Eclair) update to Android 2.2 (Froyo). Android 2.2 phones move to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread, including Android 2.3.3, 2.3.4, and 2.3.5). It is expected that Android 3.x devices (Honeycomb) will be moved to Android 4.x (Ice Cream Sandwich).

When having trouble with the USB synchronization, it is important to note if you have recently received an update to your phone's software.

If you have received an update, please be sure to update DejaOffice on the phone, as well as CompanionLink on your PC.

Please note that some Motorola devices have an additional step for Mass Storage mode.
