Symptoms:

Research in Motion recently released BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0.1.x bundle 18, and 6.0.1.x bundle 21. Both of these updates appear to break CL 4026 and earlier. With this version installed, you will see either of the following issues:

For new CL configurations, you will get the error message "Please install Blackberry desktop Manager..." when attempting to configure CL for BB.

For existing CL configurations, CL will no longer detect the BlackBerry PIN in the userID menu, under the BlackBerry Settings tab.

Fix:

This issue has been resolved in CompanionLink build 4027 or higher.
