For direct iCloud sync with CompanionLink you will need to setup an iCloud App Specific Password. To enable App Specific Passwords you will also need the Two-Factor Authentication enabled.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication
- Click here to launch the iCloud ID Management page.
- Sign in with your current iCloud email and Password.
- Under the Sign-in & Security section, click "Account Security"
- Enter your phone number, and set up Two-Factor Authentication if it is not already enabled
- Note: Most new Accounts will already have Two-Factor Authentication already enabled.
Create an iCloud App-Specific Password
- Click here to launch the iCloud ID Management page.
- Sign in with your current iCloud email and Password.
- Under the Sign-in & Security section, click App-Specific Passwords, click Generate an App-Specific Password.
- Enter a label for the App Specific Password. IE: CompanionLink or Sync, then click Create.
- Enter your current iCloud Password when prompted and an "App Specific Password" will be generated.
- The app password will be generated with "-" between each block, ensure you do not enter these "-" into CompanionLink.
Take the App-Specific Password and enter it in the CompanionLink iCloud Settings with your Apple ID Email. Click Here for the CompanionLink direct iCloud Sync Setup Guide.
